Project Brief: Using an experimental approach, create a book cover using typography as the main focus. The typography can either be hand-lettered or constructed and photographed.
Using light and shadow together, a monster is literally created from Frankenstein’s name. 3D block letters are haphazardly put together and a light casts a shadow of the Monster’s profile silhouette.
Taking inspiration from existing typography, a modified typeface was created by cutting apart letterforms. The letters were then laser cut from white acrylic and photographed.
