I aim to represent Missed Connections through the eyes of a sceptic; this area of Craigslist is just the yearnings of shy lonely people and I developed my visualisation with that in mind. The visuals are simple to emphasize that sense of loneliness as well as the un-orchestrated, sometimes spontaneous, nature of the postings. The humming calls to attention the emptiness of the atmosphere. The clicking for each submission, while literal, also links to the social disconnect that technology can present.
